Prize Winners!

Thanks to the over 150 entrants in our Citizen Kid prize draw held on Saturday!  The lucky winners are:

Danielle N. won a set of 2 Eco-Trucks!  These great toys are made from an amazing composite of recycled plastic and re-claimed wood.  Good for the environment and good for play!

Lindsay S. won a gorgeous “Activity WoodOurs” made by Ebulobo.  The quality and creativity packed into this cute little bear is incredible.

Prize winners… we will be in touch soon if you haven’t already heard from us!

Those of you that graciously signed up for our e-newsletter (it’s called The Citizen Squid) will see a new edition in the coming weeks.  Don’t worry, if you decide that our style of hard-hitting journalism isn’t for you, it is very easy to unsubscribe… 🙂  But we think you just might like it, since it DOES have a picture of a squid at the bottom.

Thanks for reading our blog and continuing to support your neighbourhood retailers!

Festival photo re-cap…

What a beautiful day!  We were kept very busy inflating balloons, posting kid’s artwork, and meeting lots of new people.

We had some chalk drawing on the street first thing in the morning…

Then it got more and more busy!

The Citizen Kid Colouring Corner was a hit!  A big THANKS to Crayon Rocks for sponsoring our little colouring tent. They make a great product that we highly recommend.  Check it out by clicking on the link…

Sophia drew this awesome picture of a “frog in water.”

There were some great face-painters somewhere down the street from us…

The big Gallery…

… and at the end of the day even the big bunch of balloons that drifted up, up, and not-too-far-away ended up looking picturesque as this shot seen on Facebook shows…  (photo credit Jeff Tessier)

Thanks to all of you who came down to visit Citizen Kid!  What a great day for the community!

Introducing the Cate & Levi Collection, now at Citizen Kid!

Here are a few reasons why these are awesome:

(each one of these points could have several !!!’s after them but I will spare you…!)

  • they are absolutely gorgeous… bold and colourful and soft
  • they are local… hand-made in Canada
  • they are environmentally friendly… made with reclaimed wool
  • they are one of a kind… no two are alike
  • they are giving… portions of cate and levi’s profits go to children in need

Did I mention we also have hand-puppets?

Yikes!  Call the Cute Police!
