I have read recently that trips to the grocery store will be getting more and more expensive for North Americans as the price of food is on the rise.

Take heart – Citizen Kid has lowered the price on two of our most popular WOODEN food sets from Plan Toys! Sure, you can’t actually eat it but it sure is fun to pretend. Just ask any 3-7 year old kid!

There’s the breakfast set…

…and here’s the fruits and vegetables set – it includes a knife to slap-chop your favourite fresh snacks.

Both items are now priced $3 lower at $26.95… no need to clip any coupons!

Gentlemen (and ladies) start your environmentally responsible engines! The Green Toys™ Flatbed Truck with Race Car is on the move. This sturdy blue truck hauls our sleek red hot rod on its back, and has a flatbed that tilts up to allow the car to roll off. These eco-conscious vehicles are made in the USA from 100% recycled plastic milk containers that save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. No BPA, PVC, phthalates, or external coatings.

So that about tells you everything you need to know about Green Toys. They are fun, sturdy, innovative, and incredibly eco-friendly.

We’ve also got the race cars available as singles in blue and red.

And one of the newest additions to the Green Toys line… a sandwich stacker! There’s a lot of fun to be had pretending to order sandwiches with your kid. So why not turn the tables (the lunch tables) and have your little ones make you a sandwich just the way you like it!

Best served with chips and a pickle!

Spring-ish…

This morning I noticed our resident mourning dove had taken up in her nest on our front porch again. She looked sorta cold. Twice a year she lays eggs and feeds her young right where we can quietly watch from inside our home. It gets a bit messy but we don’t mind. Today I’m taking it as a welcome harbinger of spring.

Good thing too, since we have been busily springifying Citizen Kid!

I went a little crazy with the Hipstamatic app on my iPhone and took these pictures to give you an idea of what’s in store for spring and Citizen Kid.
